When you think of Blue Mountain Village, it’s a no-brainer destination for an amazing winter ski trip! This summer I was lucky enough to experience the world renowned charm, dining, accommodations & bountiful activities that Blue Mountain has to offer as a four season destination.
After a long winter with boys in rep hockey, my friends and I were ready for a relaxing summer getaway! Blue Mountain Village seemed like an ideal destination for us to enjoy with our kids. It’s a beautiful, scenic drive from K-W to Collingwood, getting you to the Village in under two hours.
Property Valet had everything covered; Our rental condo was perfect for our group. As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed with a bright, clean and modern space. The condo included a full kitchen with a dishwasher, complete laundry room facilities, an outdoor patio with a bbq, and plenty of space for everyone with two full bathrooms. We stayed at Mountain Walk which was just steps from the bustling village. There is so much to do in Blue Mountain from zip-lining over the mountain, to mountaintop segway tours, gondola rides & scenic hiking. We opted to purchase Play All Day passes which gives you access to all of the activities (depending on age restrictions). Our kids loved the Timber Challenge High Ropes course and the Ridge Runner Mountain Coaster! We also spent a beautiful sunny day enjoying the Blue Mountain Private Beach Club that included access to non motorized boating activities, beach volleyball, parking and clean, well maintained amenities. The passes can be purchased in the Village, and the beach is a short 9 minute drive along the coast of Georgian Bay.
In your downtime, Blue Mountain has a variety of quaint shops and plenty of dining options to suit your taste & mood! You can also enjoy live music, and outdoor movies at night. We enjoyed breakfast at Sunset Grill, refreshing cocktails at Copper Blues and a casual dinner by the water at Northwinds Brewpub. You can find an abundance of ice cream shops, cafe’s and sweets to enjoy as well, and pick up some treats to take home.
