Havarti Makeover

Every summer, a food hack goes viral bringing us treats like cottage cheese ice cream, watermelon slushies and more. Now, Canada’s favourite makeover king Steven Sabados has joined the summer party by giving makeovers to classic dishes with one simple hack that will have you rethinking what you eat this season!

Steven is encouraging Canadians to try swapping out their cheddar or mozzarella with Castello Havarti – expertly crafted with 100% Canadian milk and no artificial flavours or ingredients – and to get creative with all seven of their havarti flavours like he did with his Cristo Gone Couture!

Perfect for elevated outdoor entertaining, this reconstructed Monte Cristo sandwich is made with two swaps: homemade waffles for bread, and cheddar for smoked havarti, giving this recipe an air of refined indulgence. Recipe below.
