Green Tea, Blueberry and Banana Smoothie

GreenTea Blueberry And Banana Smoothie-1

It’s the New Year!  Full of resolutions to eat healthier, lose weight and detox from the excessive eating and drinking throughout the Holidays.

I was introduced to green tea years ago, but no matter how much I try to like it, I just can’t. Green tea is packed full of health-promoting compounds. Regularly drinking green tea can help you lose weight and reduce your risk of several diseases, including diabetes, heart disease and cancer.  Lose weight you say? Yes, if you look at the ingredients list for any fat burning supplement, chances are, green tea will be on there.

Over the past few years, the pandemic got the best of me and I am now focusing on healthier living. I knew that my dislike for a cup of green tea outweighed any of the benefits.  However, as a creative, I was always willing to try it again in another form.

I’ve always enjoyed smoothies, but texture is a huge issue for me.  I typically have to freeze the banana to eliminate the heavy paste-like texture that a ripe banana creates. (Thanks Fiddleheads for that tip!)

This amazing smoothie recipe is packed full of the goodness that green tea has to offer your body while satisfying your sweet tooth and hunger.
